Product Description
Rib Lath Formwork Support Mesh (also called structural rib lath or support mesh for concrete) is a heavy-duty expanded metal lath designed to reinforce concrete formwork, slabs, and other structural applications. Unlike standard rib lath used for plaster, this type is thicker and stronger, providing mechanical support during concrete pouring and curing.
Rib lath is a type of expanded metal lath made from sheet metal (typically galvanized steel or stainless steel) that is slit and stretched to form a rigid, diamond-patterned mesh with raised ribs or V-shaped channels. These ribs provide additional strength, stiffness, and improved bonding for plaster, stucco, or other coatings.
Expanded metal was developed especially for use in concrete construction. It consists of hot-galvanised sheet steel and is employed as lost formwork. The rib height of approx. 21mm and the special profile make it extremely stable, ensuring a perfect combination of construction joints.
